Cornelius ChirairoHead of Programs & Strategy

Cornelius Chirairo is Strategy Director – responsible for driving the development and implementation of Opportunity’s strategy. He brings more than 25 years of management and leadership experience in both for-profit and not-for-profit sectors.

 

Before joining Opportunity in January 2023, Cornelius was with World Vision Australia as Head of Strategy and Impact. In this role he led the harnessing of quality data and credible evidence assets to communicate a holistic narrative of impact around vulnerable children. Cornelius holds three master's degrees in Strategy, Business and in Evaluation. He is also professionally certified in those specialised disciplines including Project Management. Cornelius is married to Thembi and has three adult daughters plus a grandson, Joseph. Outside work, Cornelius is a devoted early morning jogger and watches sport (soccer, tennis, footy).
