Cooking up a spice fest
After an awesome performance on last year’s My Kitchen Rules, semi-finalist Anna Bruno, is ready to cook up another great feast during November for Opportunity International Australia’s Great Australian Curry fundraising campaign. Having wowed audiences, with son Jordan, on the hit television cooking show, Anna says that helping families in need is her motivation for supporting Opportunity.

“It’s so important that Australian families give families in developing countries the tools they need to free themselves from poverty,” says Anna, who participated in Opportunity’s High Tea in King’s Park fundraiser earlier this year. “Aussies please jump on board, join in and have fun cooking up a curry, as you’re raising funds for a great cause.”
Anna is looking forward to making a special curry and inviting her friends over for a curry night as part of the Great Australian Curry campaign. “It’s not hard to cook up a spicy curry, so I’m hoping it turns out to be quite a big event,” she says. My favourite curry is Thai, although I’ve recently discovered Sri Lankan curry. My favourite curry recipe includes a mixture of curried egg with coriander and a Nigella spice mix base. It’s fantastic! I place a big emphasis on using fresh spices and ingredients in my curries. Fragrant aromas waft from the spices when you gently heat them, filling the kitchen with joy!” she adds.
